At Synergy CAM, we are driven by a passionate and dedicated team committed to making a difference. As young individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, we serve as the board of directors and catalysts for impactful change across Central America.
PRESIDENT
Sebastian Montes de Oca
As the Creative Director & Co-Founder of Inspire Lat, as well as the President of Synergy CAM, Sebastian Montes de Oca has a versatile leadership skill set that includes but is not limited to empathy, adaptability, strong writing and communication abilities, resilience, and effective problem-solving.
These strengths have enabled him to forge meaningful connections, navigate dynamic business environments, convey ideas effectively, overcome challenges, and iterate innovative solutions. Furthermore, he has experience in marketing and sales which has enabled him to create strategic initiatives. With a passion for propelling positive transformation, he leverages these qualities to lead and make a significant impact on the board of directors of Synergy CAM. His passions include sports, music, entrepreneurship, marketing, and helping communities and the environment.
TREASURER
Anthony Valverde
Anthony Valverde Kong serves as the Treasurer for Synergy CAM, overseeing the nonprofit’s financial operations. As a student at the University of South Florida College of Medicine & College of Engineering, Anthony combines technical expertise with strong analytical and organizational skills. His ability to think critically and manage complex projects—developed through his studies and leadership roles—complements his role as Treasurer.

Moreover, Anthony is the President and Founder of Manatee Biomedical Consulting, where he has developed a comprehensive understanding of managing complex projects, including financial oversight, client relations, and organizational growth. His passions include soccer, karate, and biomedicine.
ASISSTANT SECRETARY
Andres Afonso
As the Assistant Secretary, Andres Afonso ensures that the Secretary's responsibilities are efficiently supported, helping to manage documentation, streamline communication, and maintain the organization’s records to facilitate smooth operations.
Andres brings paramount skills in coordination, time management, and communication, both internally and externally, which are crucial for maintaining efficient operations. Currently majoring in marketing, Andres also brings valuable experience from assisting hospitals, which further strengthens his ability to support Synergy CAM’s operations and advance its organizational objectives. His passions include marketing and sports.
VICE PRESIDENT
Luis Manuel Duque
Luis Manuel Duque, the Vice President of Synergy CAM, is a creative and dedicated leader with a strong foundation in business and a passion for driving meaningful change. Luis combines his academic knowledge with a strategic mindset to support the organization's mission.

As Vice President, he plays a key role in shaping Synergy CAM’s vision and fostering innovative solutions. His expertise in analyzing organizational challenges and identifying opportunities drives the nonprofit’s growth and adaptability in advancing conservation efforts across Central America. His passions include photography, music, marketing, and protecting the environment.
SECRETARY
Nadim Winklaar
Nadim Winklaar Carrillo is an accomplished computer scientist with a Master’s degree in Data Security and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Serving as the Secretary for Synergy CAM, he combines his technical expertise with organizational leadership to support the nonprofit's mission.
With a passion for technology and innovation, Nadim has cultivated extensive knowledge of programming languages, algorithms, and software development methodologies. His academic journey is characterized by exceptional problem-solving skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a dedication to advancing secure and impactful solutions. His passions include computer science, music, and traveling.
Synergy Central American Alliance INC (Synergy CAM) is a 501 (C)(3) not-for-corporation incorporated in the United States in the state of Florida with EIN number 99-1436600. Founded by a group of passionate young activists—Sebastián Montes de Oca, Luis Duque, Nadim Winklaar, Anthony Valverde, and Andrés Afonso—Synergy CAM emerged from a shared desire to create a lasting, positive impact on Central American communities, particularly through environmental conservation. These individuals, having spent the majority of their lives in Costa Rica, formed a deep connection with the country’s rich biodiversity and were driven by the need to preserve it for future generations. This commitment to environmental stewardship extended beyond Costa Rica, with a shared vision of helping the broader Central American region.

The name Synergy was chosen because it embodies the power of collaboration and the founders believe that by uniting diverse efforts—whether from individuals, communities, or organizations—they can achieve greater outcomes than by acting alone. What's more, the concept of synergy represents the harmony created when different elements come together, producing results that surpass the sum of their parts. This vision is at the heart of Synergy CAM’s approach to conservation, where collaboration among local communities, environmental organizations, governments, and global supporters is crucial to creating real, sustainable change.

In addition, the infinity symbol in the logo symbolizes the organization’s commitment to long-term, perpetual impact. Just as infinity represents boundless possibilities, Synergy CAM envisions an endless future for Central American ecosystems, where conservation efforts continue to thrive across generations.
